New Jersey

Home to over 8 million people, the Garden State is the nation’s most densely populated state with a diverse and ever changing mix of people, cultures, and opportunities.  But the one thing that doesn’t change is the state’s need for energy to power our businesses and our lives.

Society’s increasing love for personal electronics, home computers, large televisions and other energy intense consumer products means that we must find a better way to power the things that keep us moving and connected.  At Garden State Offshore Energy, LLC (GSOE), we are determined to help the State of New Jersey develop renewable energy sources like those from offshore wind.

Wind energy is the fastest growing source of electricity in the US and has brought demonstrable economic gains and cleaner skies to our nation.  By developing utility scale offshore wind farms that will harvest the abundant wind resource found far off our nation’s coastlines, we can reduce our reliance on fossil fuel generation and eliminate aesthetic impacts to our beaches and shores.  Just 1,000 megawatts of offshore wind can drop CO2 emissions by approximately 400,000 tons per year, equivalent to removing 70,000 cars from our roads.

GSOE is a joint venture between Public Service Enterprise Group and Deepwater Wind and was formed to help renew New Jersey’s energy future.  We are determined to help the State of New Jersey reach its goal of 20% renewable energy by the year 2030.
